The panel discussion at the Research Software Camp: Next Steps in Coding explored the current challenges and gaps in training and skills around following specific career pathways in research software in academia and industry. Each panellist represented a different career.

Software Surgery
Throughout the Camp we ran a free Software Surgery in allocated 20 minute-slots which aimed to provide a safe and welcoming space for people to get advice on their software challenges. It was open to anyone looking to get expert advice on any aspect of software development from a Research Software Engineer (RSE).
